To calculate this cost you should take in attention the price of the room air AC unit, consider its expenses for the electric power, cost of installation in to your house (usually if you live in apartment above than on 3 floor, the installation price of the cooling system is much higher then if you live in the one-storey house). How long will it serve to you?

Usually minimum service life of room AC units is not less then 10 years. But if you take care of it, it will serve to you much more. Clean it every year, and use more often experts for maintenance service.
